put it on the list of things to do when y’all come for a visit. the food itself is worth the plane ride. kinda like xian famous food but kicked in the pants. in a good way.
noraleah:

Cookbook wish list: Mission Street Food. I can’t remember where I first read about this pop-up restaurant that began (in my old San Francisco stomping grounds) when a hip, hard-working couple began renting a taco truck in its off-hours, but their irreverent approach had me hooked.
Only trouble is, I’ve never actually tasted their food. This will have to be the next best thing. It’s said to be as fun to read as it is to cook from — my favorite kind of cookbook.
